Everyone Makes a Great Escape! The Road to Victory is for the Pirates!

The crew and Franky drop into the sea and clamber aboard the waiting Going Merry, hauling the wounded up by rope ladder. Amid the emotional reunion, Robin thanks everyone for coming back for her even when she felt unworthy, and Chopper's paralysis lifts. Spandam orders every gun trained on the ship regardless of Robin's safety, but the cannon shots veer off and strike the battleships instead. The Marines discover the Gates of Justice are sealing shut, restoring the whirlpools, the very thing Sanji had slipped away to arrange by finding the operating lever.

Zoro, Sanji, Robin, and Franky swat away the barrage, even stretching Luffy into a net to fling cannonballs back. Nami charts a course riding the currents to outrun the fire. Robin then wraps Spandam in her sprouted hands and, with a final Clutch, snaps his spine in revenge for his abuse. Franky's Coup de Vent launches the Merry free of the whirlpools entirely, and Usopp's Smoke Star blocks pursuit. Admiral Aokiji arrives and orders the shattered Buster Call to stand down, conceding a total defeat for the World Government with Enies Lobby left in ruins.

The episode debuts Robin's Cien Fleur: Defense and Usopp's Cho Kemuri Boshi, with the eyecatch pairing Sanji and Robin. Animators note that Luffy's hand mistakenly stands in for Robin's during one reunion shot, and the Merry briefly vanishes from a current-riding scene.
