The Strongest Family? Luffy's Father Revealed!

Garp laments that his brutal training never steered Luffy toward the Marines, then lets slip that Shanks, the man who set Luffy on the pirate path, now stands among the Four Emperors, the very threat that forced the Marine and Warlord alliance. When Zoro storms back in swinging, Garp sics his two finest trainees on him, only for the pair to be quickly subdued and revealed as Koby and Helmeppo, both now studying to become Marine officers under the Vice-Admiral.

After helping rebuild the wall he smashed, Garp asks Luffy about meeting his father, baffling the captain who never knew he had one. Garp names him as Monkey D. Dragon, the notorious revolutionary who rescued Luffy from Smoker in Loguetown, a bombshell since no one knew Dragon had a son, much less that he was Garp's. Robin explains that Dragon leads the Revolutionary Army, has toppled monarchies, and is branded the world's most dangerous criminal. Garp decides he has said far too much and tells everyone to forget it.

The episode adapts chapter 432 and marks early Armament Haki, since Garp's Fist of Love hurts the rubber Luffy. Koby and Helmeppo return for the first time since Diary of Koby-Meppo, now a Sergeant Major and a Sergeant. A dub error adds a flashback echo to present-day dialogue.
