The Assassins Attack! The Great Battle on Ice Begins!

Piloting the Shark Submerge III beneath the floes, Nami and Franky learn that the drifting icebergs are being pushed along by penguins, an answer that comes just before Hockera ambushes the pair. Up on the surface, a sudden iceberg slams Usopp and Sanji clear off the deck of the Thousand Sunny, dumping them into a confrontation with the skating duo Salchow and Arbell. Elsewhere on the ice, Luffy, Chopper, and their allies in the Phoenix Pirates run into Brindo, while the small girl named Lil quietly turns up beside Robin, who has stayed aboard the ship.

Zoro, separated from everyone as usual, wanders until he blunders into Lovely Land, the floating fortress the Accino Family calls home. With members of the crew engaged on multiple fronts at once, the open hostilities between the bounty-hunting Accino Family and the Straw Hats are formally underway. Each pairing of Straw Hat against attacker sets up the running brawls that will carry through the rest of the arc.

This installment is anime-original filler with no manga chapter behind it, launching the Ice Hunter Arc. The closing eyecatcher pairs Sanji with Usopp. Several Accino Family members, including Vigaro in flashback and Campacino and Don Accino in imagined glimpses, are introduced ahead of their full appearances.
