Realizing Perona can drift through bodies because her spirit has abandoned a physical form, Usopp targets her exposed real body with a Big Bang Star that fails to connect. Brimming with renewed nerve, she conjures an enormous Special Hollow, a ghost dwarfing the sniper, which clamps him in its jaws and refuses to release him while she retreats to reoccupy her own body. Elsewhere, Luffy keeps swinging at Moria's Doppelman with techniques like Gum-Gum Bazooka, only to have the shadow double absorb and turn back everything he throws, leaving Moria certain the fight is already lost.

Once she returns to her body, Perona triggers the Hollow's blast, but Usopp catches the explosion in an Impact Dial he had ready, then reveals he had already pinned her physical form to the wall with a Birdlime Star. He fends off an ambushing zombie hippo with the same Dial, breaking his own arm in the process. To finish her, the sniper unloads hundreds of crawling fake cockroaches that horrify the ghost, then crashes an inflatable ten-ton hammer down on her head, faking a knockout. In another wing, Robin briefly snares Jigoro, but the swordsman and Inuppe overpower her and Chopper while Hogback gloats.

The episode adapts material from chapter 466. Its drama tracker rating was 8.3, ranking it third for the week. Oars wanders the corridors hunting for his cannon and gradually senses he is bound to obey Moria, prompting him to turn back toward the castle. One adaptation change stands out: unlike the manga, the anime version of Perona does not foam at the mouth when she collapses. Meanwhile, Zoro finds himself outmatched by a fire-wreathed Ryuma.
