An Even Stronger Enemy Appears! The Battle Axe-Carrying Sentomaru

After grinding down a single Pacifista, the crew has nothing left in reserve. The robot ignores their individual blows until they layer their finishers one atop another, ending with a giant strike from Luffy that finally shuts the machine off. The victory costs them dearly, leaving everyone winded just as a second Kuma lookalike drops in beside the axe-carrying guardian Sentomaru. Convinced that standing and fighting means defeat, Luffy splits the survivors into three running groups, but each escape route closes: Sentomaru blocks his own path, the new Pacifista severs Sanji's group, and Kizaru runs down Zoro and prepares to finish him.

Elsewhere on the island, the crews of Eustass Kid and Trafalgar Law trade blows with a Pacifista of their own. Killer slices at its leg, Kid hauls scrap metal into a shield and then hurls it back to stop a blast, and Law notices that something about this counterfeit Kuma does not add up. The Straw Hats, meanwhile, chain their strongest moves together: Chopper's Blizzard Rose, Usopp's Atlas Comet, Robin pinning the cyborg, Nami's lightning, Sanji's Diable Jambe Flambe Shot, Zoro's Asura, and Luffy's Gear 3 Gigant Rifle. Franky deduces the machine was built around living tissue. Sentomaru then arrives, names himself the world's most loyal protector, and brings PX-1 into the fight, scattering the crew toward their three-day rendezvous at the Sunny.

The episode marks the on-screen arrival of PX-1, and it debuts a string of named techniques for Brook, Robin, Zoro, Luffy, and Sentomaru. The anime stretches the clash between the Heart and Kid Pirates and their Pacifista with extra material. By plan this installment was meant to launch Funimation's first online simulcast, but an early leak pushed the official English release back.
