Hancock's escort finally reaches the warden's quarters and meets Magellan, a poison-bodied giant, while Luffy and Buggy battle through a floor crawling with monstrous beasts and pick up an unexpected ally.
Hancock's group rides an elevator down toward Level 4, where the heat is punishing, and learns from Domino that Warden Magellan keeps an odd schedule because of his chronic stomach trouble, barely working a handful of hours each day. When the warden finally emerges from the restroom, he turns out to be an enormous figure who consumed the Doku Doku no Mi, making his entire body poisonous. Far below, on the wild-beast floor, Luffy and Buggy press deeper into the prison while fending off an assortment of creatures.
Luffy and Buggy crash through Level 2, surviving a giant hippo, a massive praying mantis, and a chicken-headed serpent called a Basilisk, the last of which Luffy flattens using his Gear Third strength. Buggy frees a batch of caged inmates, and among them stands the former Baroque Works agent Galdino, who steps forward to guide them deeper. Up at the warden's office, Hancock floors Magellan for breathing poison her way, only for him to become smitten with her, and she pressures him into taking her to Ace before security footage exposes her crew.
