For His Friend! Bon Clay Goes to the Deadly Rescue!

With Luffy dumped into a frigid cell to succumb to Magellan's toxin, the captain can barely rise, let alone flee. Bentham, now wearing Hannyabal's face, scours the prison for him while keeping Buggy and Galdino close. The disguised okama learns the chilling truth that Magellan's venom has no antidote, but a whispered rumor points to a so-called miracle worker named Iva held somewhere in the depths. Pushing on through the Freezing Hell and packs of ravenous wolves, Bentham finally reaches Luffy's cell with keys in hand.

Magellan orders Luffy hauled to the central tower of Level 5 and finds his guards beaten near Hannyabal's post. The vice-warden blames a ballerina-style fighter once known as Mr. 2 of Baroque Works. In the interrogation room Bentham sheds the Hannyabal guise and reveals his plan to free Luffy, brushing off Buggy's warning that the captain may already be dead. When Galdino says only a miracle could help, the trio hears that a miracle worker named Iva sits inside Impel Down. Scanning a prisoner roster, Bentham worries Ivankov has been executed or released. The group freezes in the icy hell and battles the Army Wolves, with Bentham abandoning his disguise to fight. Inside his cell, Luffy writhes from the absorbed poison and spots Bentham approaching with keys.

The episode draws from pages twelve to nineteen of Chapter 535 and pages two to eleven of Chapter 536, continuing the Impel Down arc. Kairo Kureyo, Muchana, Sukoshiba Kanishitoru, and Kinoko make their debuts. An animation oversight shows the stairs leading upward behind both Bon Kurei and the guard during their conversation. Pandaman appears on the prisoner list as inmate number 6586, placed just under Ivankov.
