Clash! Law vs. Vice Admiral Smoker

Left halved by Law in the previous episode, Tashigi survives and demands to be finished off, feeling shamed by her continued breath. Law refuses her the choice of her own death, and when she swings her broken blade and misses, Smoker intervenes to spare her, taking up the fight himself. Elsewhere on the frozen island, Luffy, Zoro, Robin, Usopp, and Brook ride the defeated Brownbeard toward the building Brook had spotted, having stripped the centaurs of their coats.

Inside the laboratory, a masked scientist learns from the gas figure that the abducted children slipped away with Nami's group and that Smoker glimpsed them. Monet then confirms the prisoners are the Straw Hat crew, prompting the smoke-shaped man to order the deaths of Luffy's people and the G-5 unit, and to summon someone called Joker. Out front, Law and Smoker trade savage blows until Law impales the vice admiral, pulls his heart free, and walks off, leaving Smoker to drop.

Smoker rescues Tashigi from Law and engages the Warlord in single combat. The mysterious gas figure decides to eliminate both the pirates and the Marines, and instructs Monet to contact Joker. Nami, Sanji, Chopper, and Franky, scrambled into one another's bodies, retreat with the children and the samurai's pieces. Law debuts his Mes technique, finishing the duel by extracting Smoker's heart and leaving him collapsed before the lab.

The episode adapts material from chapters 662 and 663. The animated version lingers on the fallout from Luffy's clash with Brownbeard's centaurs. Tashigi's recollection is expanded: beyond Smoker's remark that Warlords remain pirates at heart, she also recalls his words about the Straw Hats following the Enies Lobby raid, and the duel between Law and Smoker runs longer than the manga. A newspaper held by Monet shows Sanji with his bangs masking his face and Usopp hidden under his hat, a nod to the photographers never capturing either man clearly.
