The G-5 soldiers scratch a line in the ground to keep their distance from the pirates, even as the medical squad gets an exception and Smoker confirms a ship is inbound. Luffy chats with Brownbeard, who chooses to surrender so the Marines can purge the chemicals Caesar pumped into him. Meanwhile, the loudest shock comes when Kin'emon's petrified shell cracks open to reveal the samurai very much alive, drawing screams and an angry kick from Sanji. Momonosuke leaps into his father's arms, and the boy, now human rather than dragon, is given clothes and a proper introduction as a child of Wano, before fainting from hunger.

Chopper storms into the infirmary fearing Law butchered the children, only to find them cheerful and fully healed, every drug and chemical surgically removed. Mocha alone still sleeps, and the kids credit her with helping save them. Tashigi arrives to place them under Marine protection, a turn Nami quietly arranged because she trusts strong Marine women, who remind her of her late mother. Sanji serves a vast pot of sea pork stew, and when Momonosuke's pride makes him refuse, Kin'emon's earnest enjoyment coaxes the boy into eating through tears.

The dividing line dissolves into a ceasefire as Marines, former henchmen, children, and Straw Hats all line up for food and a celebration breaks out. Smoker, watching, tells Law he never expected him to honor their deal and notes the plan to provoke an Emperor through the Straw Hats. Law wonders aloud who is really using whom, recalling Luffy's vow that the order does not matter as long as he eventually brings down every one of the Four Emperors.

The episode adapts Chapter 696 and earned an 8.8 rating. Anime-original beats include Sanji and Brook building the barbecue pit, Nami scolding Tashigi over the Marines' negligence, Chopper peeking at Law's surgery and later apologizing with a bowl of soup, and Brook knocking over the petrified Kin'emon, which happened off-panel in the manga. An animation error inverts the children's hands during Franky's signature pose.
