A Noble Family - The True Identity of Doflamingo!

Doflamingo shakes off Luffy's Red Hawk, spitting blood, as Law admits the wounds they inflicted were only superficial and the same trick will not work twice. In the streets, Koala scolds Sabo for dueling an admiral and risking open war for the Revolutionaries, though Sabo insists saving Luffy was all that mattered. At the plateau, the citizens free Usopp's group amid the confusion and beg Doldo to help, but he urges them to trust Luffy, a faith Fujitora openly shares.

With Trebol unable to reform after being sliced apart, Doflamingo halts and runs Law through with strings. Luffy is overpowered and bound, left to the mercy of a controlled Bellamy. The Warlord then unveils his loathing for being looked down upon and lays out his family history: a father who renounced their riches, a mother dead from illness in poverty, and his own descent into patricide and a vow of total destruction.

Fujitora declares he will not let Dressrosa fall into war and stakes his bet on Luffy alongside the former king. Law explains Radio Knife creates an incision unlike a normal cut, leaving Trebol unable to reattach for several minutes. Doflamingo blocks Law's Injection Shot, pierces him with Full Bright as Trebol pins his legs, then overpowers Luffy's Busoshoku Haki and ties his hands behind his back. He reveals his World Noble bloodline, recalling himself as a child demanding slaves, his mother's death, and how he killed his father and carried his head to Mary Geoise, only to be branded a family of traitors and rejected forever.

The anime adds Luffy battling the string clone right after Red Hawk and has Doflamingo's kick hurl Luffy over the town before the strings bind him, where the manga merely sent him sprawling across the floor. It expands the citizens' subplot so a pirate group provokes Riku, Tank Lepanto, and Hack into fighting them off. As Doflamingo relives his past he slices and stomps a butterfly that briefly resembles his father, and his recollection follows the volume dialogue rather than the magazine version. Rated 9.1. Donquixote Homing makes his debut.
