Summary

Once Bege returns to his ordinary body and Caesar and Germa 66 spill out, the pair are left exposed and the Big Mom Pirates open fire. Ichiji, Niji, Yonji, and Reiju throw themselves in front of the bullets, and Caesar grabs Bege and lifts off with Germa in tow. Katakuri predicts they mean to clear the wall and flee the venue. Judge swings at Katakuri and misses as the enemy crew leaps to attack.

Big Mom halts her own subordinates and hurls Prometheus into the group. Reiju absorbs the worst of the blast and crashes to the ground. Luffy strains to break away and aid her, but his crew holds him fast. When Mascarpone and Joscarpone try to finish Reiju off, she kicks and poisons them, prompting Smoothie to come purge the toxin. As Big Mom readies Zeus against Reiju, both Luffy and Sanji vault out of Bege to block it, each irritated the other tagged along.

Key Events

Sanji hauls Luffy away and the two flee with Reiju, but Big Mom's taunts about his promise to beat her lure Luffy back for one defiant strike. He activates Gear 4 and lands Kong Gun, declaring he will be Pirate King, only for her to repel it with Armament Haki coating her arms. In the air the Germa siblings keep the bullets off Caesar: Niji scatters attackers with Dengeki Blue, Yonji hurls foes into one another, and Ichiji drives Dacquoise down with Sparking Red. Oven, Daifuku's genie, and Smoothie each try to halt Caesar's flight and are intercepted in turn, and the three brothers shatter Perospero's candy wall to keep Caesar's escape route open.

Notes

On a ledge below, Lu Feld scrambles toward the fallen Tamatebako, but Stussy reveals herself as an undercover CP0 agent, downs him with Tobu Shigan, and claims the box for the World Government, striking a deal with the spying Morgans. Feld's slumping body then knocks the Tamatebako off the Chateau entirely. Above, Luffy vows to take down Kaidou before Big Mom, who swats him out of Gear 4. Judge flies in to attack, ashamed of being deceived in his bid to revive Germa's glory, but she snaps his spear in her teeth and blasts him with a Zeus thunderbolt. The episode introduces Charlotte Cornstarch and belongs to the Whole Cake Island arc; the anime has Luffy strike Big Mom twice rather than once.
