A Man's Way of Life - Bege and Luffy's Determination as Captains

Holding Chiffon on Cacao Island, Oven tells Bege to back down, but the captain shoots him and reveals an overland capability in the Nostra Castello, sending it rumbling toward where Chiffon stands. Lifting the cart that carries the cake, Sanji intends to load it onto the ship. Out at sea the Big Mom Pirates hound the Sunny, and from the crow's nest Carrot, fixed on the sky, asks whether tonight will bring a full moon. Having thrown off Big Mom by leaping island to island through the Mirro-World, Luffy weighs how to overcome Katakuri, and recalling that Haki sharpens against strong foes, he chooses to forge his own by fighting the Sweet Commander.

On Nuts Island, Big Mom fires a devastating Ikoku attack, yet Luffy slips into a mirror with Brulee a moment ahead of it. Hoping to rest within the Mirro-World, he is exposed when Brulee cries out to Katakuri, who finds them and nearly snatches her before Luffy bounds through another portal. Mont-d'Or's people on Whole Cake Island field sighting after sighting until Luffy and Brulee end up alone in a house. There Luffy grasps that, much like Armament Haki, the Observation variety can run dry, but rather than drain his rival he recalls Rayleigh's teaching and resolves to keep building his own until it matches the commander's. On Cacao Island, Oven again threatens Chiffon, who urges her husband and the whole crew to abandon her, thanking them as her only real family, while he assaults her over the Den Den Mushi to their dismay. Bege agrees to meet at the coast, soothes Pez, and fires an explosive round squarely into Oven's face, blasting him off the cake cart and calling this his way of living. The Nostra Castello slams into the shore, its tank treads bearing it up onto the island toward Chiffon, and when Bege calls for the cake to be brought aboard, Sanji kicks the entire cart skyward for the ship to receive.

Potato Island debuts as a location here. The broadcast adds Luffy fleeing Katakuri through one extra mirror, Bege calming Pez with funny faces, Pudding pleading with Oven to spare Chiffon, and Chopper trying to call out to Carrot before she mentions the moon. The run that brings Bege's crew toward Cacao Island is drawn out further. For home video, this is the last episode crediting Funimation as the English dub's producer.
