The Holy Land in Tumult - The Targeted Princess Shirahoshi!

The Neptune family arrives at Mariejois to honor the dying wish of the late queen Otohime. Elsewhere, King Sterry of the Goa Kingdom marvels at the Empty Throne and longs to sit upon it, ignoring a priest who explains why no one may. The mood collapses when Charlos orders a slave to drag Shirahoshi away as his new pet. Fukaboshi, Vivi, Rebecca, and Leo each try to intervene, yet Neptune, Sai, and others restrain them, knowing that striking a Celestial Dragon invites catastrophe. Rob Lucci and Kaku block Leo and Sai, reminding them that their restraint once spared countless nations.

Lucci lectures that the World Nobles rank as living gods who deserve whatever they desire, and that fairness has nothing to do with it. When Vivi lunges at him in disgust, Neptune is moved to attack, and Vivi throws herself over Charlos to prevent disaster. Before bloodshed erupts, Mjosgard smashes Charlos with a spiked club, declaring his shame at his peers' cruelty. He kneels to Neptune, recalling how Otohime once shielded him from gunfire in the Ryugu Kingdom and taught him to value humanity, and he vows to keep Shirahoshi safe.

Charlos publicly claims Shirahoshi and has a slave beat her down. The Straw Hats' allies are repeatedly stopped from retaliating. Lucci and Kaku assert the Nobles' divine status while Wapol fawns over the World Government. Mjosgard knocks Charlos unconscious, apologizes to the assembly, dismisses the Cipher Pol agents, and pledges himself to the Ryugu royals out of gratitude to Otohime.

The episode recaps the Enies Lobby clash where the Straw Hats declared war on the World Government, plus glimpses of the fish-men's troubled past. The anime adds Neptune wishing he could have brought Otohime here, extra shots of his rising fury, and Mjosgard ordering CP0 out. In the manga it was Mansherry who ran to a downed Leo, but here Kabu does so. The manga also showed Charlos noticing Mjosgard before the blow, a detail the anime omits.
