Overview

This crew, born of the stage-show continuity, cast its lot with Marshall D. Teach, fighting beneath him in the Payback War and later hunting down whatever survivors of the Whitebeard Pirates remained. Their captain, Bad One Gracie, carried such a reputation that the Whitebeard faction was startled to see a name that big siding with Blackbeard.

The lineup packs genuine muscle. Gracie has awakened his Ute Ute no Mi, the nunchaku wielder Neiro can control a person's body fat by way of the Pocha Pocha no Mi, and Noir, a capoeira master hailing from the Mink Tribe, completes the leadership above the rank-and-file crew.

Role

In the Payback War, the BIG Pirates showed up as backup for Blackbeard's fight against the Whitebeard Pirates. Gracie summoned rifles out of the sea to bombard the foe, though Hakuto guarded Vista from the barrage. Once Teach let loose his Devil Fruit abilities, the momentum tipped in Blackbeard's favor.

Afterward the crew arrived at Tomoshibi Island hunting for the last Whitebeard loyalists, bringing Germa 66 on board as hired muscle to help wipe the survivors out. They fell upon Hakuto and the Straw Hats mid-celebration, and Neiro pinned the pirates in place until Franky stepped in. The struggle intensified until Gracie triggered his awakened Great Four-Way Firing, burying the island in firearms, yet Luffy drew on Ace's rekindled flame together with Hakuto's power to strike him down using Gomu Gomu no Red Hawk. Their money already earned, the mercenaries of Germa 66 promptly walked out on the beaten crew.
