Fallen Monk Pirates

This notable band of rookies first surfaced at Sabaody. Their arrival there coincided roughly with the moment Luffy's own crew reached the island two years prior, which earns them a place within the Worst Generation, Urouge leading them. Their beginnings are unusual: they descended from an unnamed floating island, which makes them the earliest pirate group of that origin ever shown and the lone such crew counted among the top rookies.

Their flag depicts a cartoon-style version of Urouge's grinning, pierced-eared face, backed by wings and encircled by his red bead necklace. They sail the Hanjomaru, a vessel steeped in Japanese folklore imagery. Its white Oni figurehead has sharp yellow teeth, broad pale wings, and mounted behind it are a hannya mask, a shield, and a crossed naginata.

Their strength is inferred rather than proven, drawn from their captain's steep bounty and their ability to make it as far as Sabaody. Urouge ranks among the super rookies who assembled on the island ahead of the Marineford summit clash, and even after he was knocked out, the group slipped away from Kizaru's assault. Their most striking feat came later, when Urouge overpowered Charlotte Snack, a Sweet Commander worth 600,000,000 who served the Emperor Charlotte Linlin.

That victory provoked the Emperor's fury and forced the crew into a losing clash with Charlotte Cracker's fleet. Even so, they escaped alive once more, last seen mending their wounds on the Ballon Terminal, a sky island. Getting there also demonstrates they possess a means of moving between the sea and the island clouds.

Urouge captains the crew and stands as its central figure. After the war, the group ventured into the New World and drew near an island spewing lightning, where an old woman in a small boat offered to sell them umbrellas. Over the course of the timeskip, the crew tried to push into Big Mom's Totto Land, the campaign that led to Urouge's victory over Snack and his eventual flight from Cracker. Later, while Urouge recovered on the Ballon Terminal, the Emperor Kaidou arrived; when Kaidou leapt from the sky island, Urouge made no move to interfere and simply prayed as the giant fell to the land far below.
