This yakuza gang ran extortion across Wano's Flower Capital under a boss who was secretly Denjiro of the Nine Red Scabbards in disguise. The moment he dropped the mask at the Fire Festival, the entire outfit switched sides and threw in with the rebellion against Orochi.
Within Wano Country this outfit worked as a yakuza gang, run by a senior money changer in the employ of the Kurozumi Family. The boss, going by Kyoshiro, was actually Denjiro, whose features had been reshaped by stress. Once he admitted his place among the Nine Red Scabbards, the gang severed ties with both the Beasts Pirates and the reigning shogun, throwing its lot instead behind the coalition of ninja, pirates, minks, and samurai that stood with the Kouzuki Family. When Denjiro later became daimyo of Kibi, what happened to the group afterward was left uncertain.
Money flows to the gang from its grip on trade in the Flower Capital. A new independent shop is leaned on for a protection payment, and a refusal brings assault on its staff and the wrecking of its wares. Following the pattern of actual yakuza, recruits take their vows through the sakazuki ceremony, and the crew stamps the kanji for kyo as its mark, honoring the boss whose name it bears.
Sheer headcount supplies the gang's force: more than two hundred foot soldiers, so many that Flower Capital residents scattered the instant trouble loomed. Its influence went further, since the boss's rank plugged it into Wano's rulers as well as the Beasts Pirates. When enemies proved too much to manage alone, members could call in killers from that pirate crew, as happened when Kaku passed word up the ladder and Queen's assassins were summoned.
Denjiro created the family under the Kyoshiro name at some point after Oden's execution. Drifting into the capital, he was set upon by two men, defeated them with ease, and earned their immediate devotion; asked for a name he gave Kyoshiro, and from that start the gang climbed fast. In time it gained a meeting with the shogun, who welcomed the chance to have Kyoshiro serve the Kurozumi Family as both guard and money changer.
One early Wano episode shows the gang's shakedown routine in action. A trio of members, Kaku, Kuni, and Suke, came across Sanji operating a soba stand and pressed him for a fee; his refusal triggered an attack, and Sanji together with Franky quickly beat down Kuni and Suke. Kaku ran off to inform Kyoshiro, who, tied up with Orochi's banquet, could not step in himself and instead had assassins set on Sanji's stand.
Denjiro's unveiling flipped everything. Left to mind the Flower Capital while Orochi departed for Onigashima's festivities, he freed the samurai jailed at Rasetsu Town and, after reading Shimotsuki Yasuie's note, gathered his forces at Habu Port among the coalition's other allies, committing the gang's full strength against Kaidou's crew. His two hundred followers rode a large unnamed vessel to Onigashima for the raid.
