Overview

Summoned into being by an orb together with the Evil Guardian, the Majin Soldiers feature only in One Piece: Unlimited Adventure and the Unlimited Cruise titles. They drift above the ground by unknown means and share a common build: an upper section housing the torso, arms, and head, joined to a hollow cup-shaped lower piece capped by a crystal point, all marked with gold facial detailing. Their strength varies by type, with the lesser Soldiers comparable to figures like Spandam, while the elite Generals rival the likes of Nami, Usopp, and Chopper and copy fighting moves drawn from East Blue and Grand Line warriors. Though limited to a few repeated phrases of speech, they display real cunning, such as taking Popora hostage or hiding as rocks to strike unseen.

Role

The race splits into four Soldier classes and three General classes. Sword Soldiers turn a right arm into a blade born of their hatred; Knuckle Soldiers fire their detachable fists as projectiles; Mass Soldiers ball up to pose as boulders before ambushing; and Golem, or Guardian, Soldiers slam the ground to pin enemies in place. The three General types, Green, Red, and Violet, are larger and tougher, each pulling attacks from an opponent's memories and mimicking signature techniques from characters across the series. Every variant drops crafting materials such as clay when defeated.

Notable Members

The race traces back a thousand years, when islanders used an orb to call up a guardian god to defend them. Instead the Evil Guardian and his Majin Soldiers ran riot and butchered everyone save Sealed and Popora, then were locked away inside the orb. In Unlimited Adventure, a Sword Soldier first ambushed and abducted Popora in the Ruins Zone, and as the seal weakened the soldiers swarmed the island until the Straw Hats freed Popora and finally destroyed the Evil Guardian. The Unlimited Cruise games reintroduce them as transformed Mud and Variant Puppets on Cave Island and Floating Island.
