Chapter 1119: Emet

Once released, Kaku tells Stussy to run, insisting they were only ever cold colleagues rather than friends and warning that the moment Lucci turns up, nothing will keep him from cutting her down over her betrayal. She leaves in tears as Kaku fights back his own. On the shoreline the Marines gape at Luffy, who now resembles his latest wanted poster, while the giants break into song and dance. Unfazed, Mars calls Bonney's enlarged shape a cheap copy of her fruit's power and hurls another energy blast, which Luffy blocks by ballooning his body even as it stings.

Since the Elders shrug off physical harm, Luffy concludes the only option is to fling Mars far from the island. He inflates himself and asks Sanji and Franky to hit him as hard as they can, with a wary Bonney joining in, most of the strikes carrying Haki and so hurting Luffy too. He seizes Mars, pulls him into his ballooned frame, and using the combined momentum sends the Elder rocketing upward via a fresh technique, the Dawn Balloon. His departure done, the giants get back to setting sail, and Atlas volunteers to check on the missing Sunny group, only to learn that York is tracking both her position and Lilith's.

The Iron Giant settles on the seabed as Vegapunk's transmission returns to the meaning of the hidden initial D. According to York, their attack produced only a brief cutout, and the feed can be ended for good solely by destroying the snail lodged within the robot. Rubble and the swallowed Cipher Pol agents come pouring from Ju Peter's mouth onto the pirates, and when he tries to inhale the giants' ship, Luffy pounds him back to stop it. Warcury then leaps from the coast to ram the vessel, and a drained Bonney shrinks into a child. Before the impact can strike, the Iron Giant surges out of the sea, drives a fist into Warcury that snaps off a tusk, and is revealed to bear the name Emet, shocking everyone, Luffy above all.

Kaku frees Stussy and tells her to flee. A joint assault by Luffy, Bonney, Sanji, and Franky flings Mars clear of Egghead, with Bonney shown using Armament Haki. Atlas sets off toward the Labophase to check on those with the Thousand Sunny. York cautions the Elders that only by wrecking the broadcast snail housed in the Iron Giant can Vegapunk's feed be silenced for good. Ju Peter spews the captured Cipher Pol agents and Seraphim onto the Marine ships, then tries to draw in the Giant Warrior Pirates' vessel before Luffy halts him. The robot's name is unveiled as Emet, which blocks Warcury from smashing the giants' ship and recalls a past exchange with Joy Boy about its purpose.

An Egghead Arc chapter whose cover continues the Yamato pilgrimage, here showing children who loathe Kaidou pelting the boy with stones. The title delivers the long-teased reveal of the Iron Giant's true name, a payoff the arc had steadily built toward.
