Chapter 304: Long Island Adventure

The crew speeds away from Masira's salvage gang, the sea monkeys, and the wave chasing their wake. Looking through binoculars, Usopp picks out a vessel ahead and takes it for a foe. As they close in, Luffy tries warning that ship to turn from the oncoming surge, but its hands are too busy squabbling, having no navigator, banner, sail, or captain among them. Once the wave dies, the Going Merry breaks free into calm water. On lookout, Robin notes she caught sight of land earlier though fog now hides it, and the crew asks her to sing out the moment another appears.

The Going Merry runs ashore on this stretch of Long Ring Long Land. First off the deck are Luffy, Usopp, and Chopper, who gawk at the strangely tall creatures wandering about. Through his goggles Usopp makes out a little house far off, and close by stands a giant white horse fitted with a saddle. Luffy wanders up to some swaying bamboo, gets clipped by it, and fires back using a Gomu Gomu whip. Chopper, meanwhile, questions the horse, which has no idea where its owner has gone. Hurrying over to Luffy, the group finds an old man flattened by that bamboo blow. Soon after, the Foxy Pirates come ashore and brace to strike at the crew.

The crew arrives at Long Ring Long Land and meets Tonjit together with his horse Shelly, and the Foxy Pirates surface for the first time. The cover is a color spread playing on the song What a Wonderful World, depicting the crew giving a mid-ocean concert with the Rainbow Moray Eel Brothers in attendance. It belongs to the Long Ring Long Land Arc.
