Beaten down by Kumadori's Life Return, Chopper risks a second Rumble Ball and, against long odds, forces himself into Arm Point to land a single Kokutei Roseo Metel that staggers the agent. The blow drains him completely, and Kumadori, sliding into a frenzy, resumes pounding the exhausted reindeer.

A flashback to Drum Island shows Chopper bedridden as Kureha scolds him for an experiment he cannot recall, one that nearly leveled a village. She warns him against inheriting only the reckless side of Hiriluk, then softens, telling him to rest. Back in the present, bound by Kumadori's hair and facing death, Chopper shrinks to escape, swallows a third Rumble Ball, and balloons into a towering form, recalling Kureha's account of how three balls once made him lose consciousness and turn into a genuine monster that endangered friend and foe alike.

Outside, a downed Franky takes Fukurou's Key 4 and reasons that Kalifa must hold Key 2. In the bath, Kalifa toys with Nami, who has been mysteriously weakened. Realizing her strength is returning, Nami unleashes her Clima-Tact, building a storm cloud overhead and finishing with a Thunderbolt Tempo that cracks down near Kalifa.

Chopper triggers Monster Point for the first time since joining the Straw Hat Pirates, doing so by consuming a third Rumble Ball. The chapter also opens Nami's confrontation with Kalifa in the bathhouse and confirms Franky now holds Fukurou's key.

This installment marks Chopper's debut use of Monster Point during his time with the crew. A flashback features Kureha on Drum Island warning him about the danger of his runaway transformation. The cover advances Miss Goldenweek's Operation: Meet Baroque Works with the dreams of Miss Valentine, Mr. 5, Mr. 4, and Lassoo. The chapter was adapted in Episodes 290 and 293.
