Chapter 671

As Slime keeps spitting fragments that poison the lake and kill its fish, Sanji dives into the freezing water to recover Kin'emon's torso, the one task only he can manage. Within the lab, Law seizes his chance while alone with Monet, setting the bagged Chopper aside and asking her to lend him her ability. She playfully calls it a date and follows him, while Chopper recognizes her as the bird-woman Usopp had described.

Outside, Luffy keeps hold of Caesar as the centaurs and satyrs aim at him. Robin explains that Armament Haki lets one grip a Logia's true form but cannot seal the Devil Fruit the way seastone or the sea can, so the fight is far from over. Caesar slips free by stretching his body, then flings Gas Robe at Luffy's head and urges him to inhale the lethal cloud. Luffy instead breathes it all in and vents it from his ears, declaring poison barely affects him now thanks to Magellan, then hammers Caesar with a Jet Mace.

Caesar retaliates with the castanet blast Gastonet and orders Slime fragments to cling to Luffy, but Luffy reappears unscathed behind him and connects with a Jet Stamp. He shouts for something to contain the Logia, since rope is useless, just as a marine claims Caesar for custody. Then, shockingly, Luffy struggles to breathe and passes out, leaving the scientist standing over him in triumph. Deep in the lab, Law clutches his chest in agony, collapses, and confronts an emerging man who marvels at how much Law has grown.
