Chapter 677

Watching the broadcast with the other brokers, Killer tries to draw Eustass Kid's attention to the fact that Caesar has captured Law, Luffy, Robin, and Smoker together. Kid only smirks at Luffy's reappearance and dismisses the spectacle. He then walks into a gathering he grudgingly set up, where Scratchmen Apoo and Basil Hawkins wait. Apoo has already wrecked the hideout and battered one of Kid's subordinates, and the captains nearly start fighting before Killer steps in to push for actual negotiation toward a three crew partnership.

On Punk Hazard, Law begins the counterattack. He asks Franky to set a battleship ablaze so the smoke can hide their cage, then casually removes the chains he had quietly swapped for ordinary links. He places Smoker and Tashigi back into their proper bodies and grants them their freedom on one condition: they must forget everything they discovered about him and Joker.

The escaping swordsmen at last catch up to the loose dragon. Sanji falls behind as Nami's borrowed body reaches its limit, but an accidental grab at her chest sends him surging ahead to capture the creature. Nami and Usopp ride atop the injured Brownbeard, who has sided with the crew in order to save his own men. Kin'emon and Zoro slice apart the heavy iron shutters, letting every separated group spill into the laboratory at the same moment. Surveying the assembled allies, Luffy announces that the counterattack is ready to begin.

This marks the first post-timeskip appearance of Kid, Killer, Apoo, and Hawkins, whose bounties stand at 470, 200, 350, and 320 million Berries in turn. To weigh a formal pact, Kid's crew brought in the Hawkins Pirates alongside Apoo's On Air Pirates at their hidden base. Smoker and Tashigi strike a temporary truce with Law and the Straw Hats so long as Law's and Joker's roles stay secret. Chopper stays out of sight while the others reunite, and the cover shows Jinbe putting an end to Caribou's mermaid abductions.
