Summary

A flashback to Sabaody shows Silvers Rayleigh teaching that every attack carries intent. Luffy locates Rayleigh's cooking by smell, smashes the pot, and earns a beating meant to drill Observation Haki into him. Hungry and refusing food the island animals bring, Luffy keeps training as Rayleigh explains how the sense reads movement and even offers fleeting glimpses of the future. When Luffy asks whether it can read personalities, Rayleigh admits he never tried, but vows to draw out the boy's full potential. In the present, Luffy now traces the flow of Katakuri's strikes and slips past them, trading punishing blows with the Sweet Commander even as his hands tear from blocking.
