C-Class Hero Alliance

The C-Class Hero Alliance gathers many different C-Class heroes who cooperate in the hope of rising through the Hero Association rankings. Rather than depending on one strong individual, the group operates as a loose collective, pooling varied skills and equipment toward shared goals.

Their signature is a van whose license plate reads CQHERO. The pun works in Japanese, where the word for rank class is kyu, pronounced like the letter Q, so the plate can be understood as C-Class Hero. The members bring wildly different gear: some carry weapons, such as Gasmask Cowboy with his lasso and revolver, while others like Red Muffler and D-Pad rely on raw physical ability.

The alliance turns up throughout the story in supporting roles. In the Sea Monster Arc they pile into the van to reach the Seafolk and grumble to D-Pad about its sluggish pace, only for Saitama and Genos to blow past them. During the Hero Hunt Arc, Red Nose patrols with Hyottoko and Studless and brags that his martial arts could handle Garou, right before Garou appears and flattens the trio with ease. When the Monster Association crisis erupts, many members rush to the Z-City ghost town to pull wounded civilians from the rubble, and they later crowd around a depowered Garou to beat him down until Zombieman and King step in to stop them.

The roster includes D-Pad, Funeral Suspenders, Red Muffler, Skunk Boy Gasmask, Studless, Red Nose, Hyottoko, and Food Battler Futoshi, alongside numerous unnamed heroes. Several eventually shift allegiance: moved by Tanktop Master, the heroes Hyottoko, Gasmask Cowboy, and Studless take up tanktops and are welcomed into the Tank Topper Army. Members of the alliance also appear in side stories, storming the Z-City police station to face Surprise-Attack Plum, and the group is namechecked by Eyelashes as one of the Hero Association's many factions.
