Kyuusuke Sarashina

Kyuusuke is drawn as a young schoolboy topped with spiky green hair, and his eyes are a clear blue.

Among Chibiusa's classmates, Kyuusuke is the resident athlete, happiest when he is moving and competing. He ribs the girls constantly, especially in his earliest appearances, in the ordinary way grade-schoolers needle their friends. Pride in his physical feats runs strong, and he pushes to prove himself whenever the chance arises. When an accident leaves him afraid of the vaulting horse before a school event, he refuses to let the fear win and fights through it, showing genuine grit. For all his taunts and squabbles, he is written as a friend rather than a bully, and he owns up with an apology once he realizes he has crossed a line.

In Sailor Moon R, Kyuusuke keeps mocking Chibiusa over her small size until Momoko steps in, cracks him on the head, and makes him say sorry. He later turns up at Lilica Hubert's home, and during the SuperS season JunJun sets her sights on his Dream Mirror. Before extracting it, she first helps him conquer his dread of the box horse.
