Act 22 Hidden Agenda - Nemesis

Saphir attacks Usagi, who is granted the power to become Sailor Moon and reunites with her captured friends. Meanwhile, Mamoru chases Chibiusa into the time storm and ignores Pluto's warning. Naoko Takeuchi wrote and illustrated the chapter, part of the Black Moon arc.

The moment Chibiusa takes Wiseman's hand, a violent storm tears through the time dimension and knocks out Pluto. Terrified for the girl, Tuxedo Mask races into the storm without the time key. Usagi, searching the enemy base for her imprisoned friends, reaches the Black Crystal reactor, where Saphir confronts her. His two Droids attack and he moves to kill her, but she manages to draw on the Silver Crystal and transform. As Sailor Moon she frees her friends and badly wrecks the base.

Wiseman surfaces on Nemesis beside a partner cloaked in shadow, and when Rubeus tries to run, Wiseman kills him. Using the Silver Crystal, Sailor Moon teleports herself and her friends off the collapsing planet. Lost in the storm, Tuxedo Mask is led to a figure resembling Usagi yet marked with the Black Moon Clan's crest. Sailor Moon and her three friends land on Earth and rejoin Venus, and Pluto reports that both Chibiusa and Tuxedo Mask are now missing in the space-time storm.

The chapter reunites the four inner guardians after their long captivity and sets up the debut of Black Lady, the shadowed figure Tuxedo Mask encounters. It leaves Chibiusa and Tuxedo Mask stranded in the storm, a thread the following chapters resolve.
