Act 25 Showdown - Death Phantom -

Sailor Pluto uses her forbidden command over time to stop Prince Demande from joining the two Silver Crystals, and the effort costs her life. Watching her dearest friend die frees Black Lady, who reverts to Chibiusa and awakens for the first time as Sailor Chibi Moon. Naoko Takeuchi wrote and illustrated the chapter, part of the Black Moon arc.

With the two crystals mere centimeters from touching, an act that would destroy the world, Pluto invokes her forbidden Time Stop. Everything freezes except the guardians, letting Usagi snatch the crystals from Demande as Pluto crumples. She reveals that halting time has given up her life, and watching her only friend die breaks Wiseman's grip on Black Lady.

The Silver Crystal shines and Black Lady returns to Chibiusa, now reborn as the guardian Sailor Chibi Moon, while Neo-Queen Serenity begins to stir. Time resumes, Usagi becomes Sailor Moon, and the battle against Nemesis goes on. Demande moves to kill Sailor Moon but falls to the combined might of Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask.

Drawn into Nemesis, the two behold a figure at its core, the mind of the planet, Death Phantom. Vowing to defend the Earth, Sailor Moon aims the Cutie Moon Rod at Death Phantom, prepared to destroy him once and for all.

The chapter contains the only use of Time Stop and introduces Chibiusa's own Silver Crystal, the Pink Moon Crystal, along with her guardian identity as Sailor Chibi Moon. It brings the confrontation with the Black Moon toward its climax against Death Phantom.
