Act 24 Attack - Black Lady -

Black Lady and a mind-controlled Mamoru attack the Sailor Guardians, Prince Demande seizes the Silver Crystals of both past and future, and Wiseman is revealed to be the Death Phantom. Naoko Takeuchi wrote and illustrated the chapter, part of the Black Moon arc and collected in volume 5.

The guardians reel at the sight of Chibiusa transformed into Black Lady. Wiseman, Saphir, and Demande join the fight and strike at them, while Black Lady warns that with the second monolith risen, everything is beginning to fade away. She commands Tuxedo Mask to attack Sailor Moon, and he obeys, then she assaults Sailor Moon herself and calls down a third Black Crystal monolith into the Earth as Wiseman goads her.

Demande throws off Wiseman's control but is compelled to kill Saphir, after which he attacks Wiseman and exposes the hooded form as a hollow skeletal puppet. The sky blackens and the planet Nemesis descends, declaring that Wiseman is Nemesis itself. Sailor Moon strains to keep the planet from crushing the palace. Black Lady has Tuxedo Mask steal Sailor Moon's Silver Crystal, and though he breaks free, Black Lady takes the crystal before he can act.

Sensing the future in peril, Pluto cannot leave her post because of the three taboos she accepted as Guardian of Time, until Diana offers to watch the time gate for her. Reaching Crystal Tokyo, Pluto finds Black Lady holding both crystals. Demande then attacks Black Lady and wrests both away, intending to bring them together, which Pluto warns would annihilate everything in the past and the future.

The chapter unmasks Wiseman as the Death Phantom and reveals Nemesis to be one and the same being. It also brings both Silver Crystals into a single grasp, raising the threat that joining them would destroy both timelines.
