Chapter 112 Part 2

Part 2 picks up with the science class frozen around two boys about to come to blows: Tertius, the visiting prince from Septevia, and a delinquent classmate whose stray booger sits on the royal face disguised as a mole. Whispers and stray thoughts tell Anya her classmates expect her to handle it, so she marches forward, calculating that heroics here could mean friends for her and connections for Loid. Both boys wave her off at first, but a whispered promise to end the "snot war" wins the delinquent's stunned gratitude. Her lunge for the booger dies mid-reach when she remembers whose snot it is.

Tertius, meanwhile, has heard rumors branding Anya a violent beast and interprets her approach as an attack. His chivalrous gambit, presenting her a flower, backfires spectacularly: she sees in it the perfect scraping tool and grins so wickedly that he braces for death. Memories of sparring drills with his steward in Septevia restore his fighting spirit, and he dodges her flower charge, unaware that Anya has already skimmed those memories and clocked his rightward dodge habit. The crick in her neck from the previous night intervenes, the dropped flower strikes his face, and the dislodged booger falls into the delinquent's waiting hand, instantly swapped for an innocent leaf.

With the teacher calling the room to order, the misunderstanding dissolves into apologies. Tertius floats a reward of legendary Septevian jewels, and Anya, hearing the bluff in his head, gently advises against it. Rather than exposing him, her discretion convinces the prince that Ostania's children possess remarkable selflessness, and he warms to his time at Eden. Becky returns after class to find Anya bracketed by suitors: Tertius pressing another flower on her and asking whether he might call at her house, while the delinquent cheerfully introduces himself as Freddy of Hamilton Hall. Anya basks smugly in her diplomatic triumph while Damian looks on, visibly rattled.

Anya intervenes in the Tertius-Freddy confrontation, guided by their thoughts and Tertius's training memories, and the booger crisis ends without exposure thanks to Freddy's leaf swap. Tertius misreads Anya's tact as noble character, softening his view of Ostania, and both boys attach themselves to her as friends.

Part 1 of the chapter had already established the term's new ability-based classes, with Anya and Damian sharing Class F for Language Studies and Tertius and Freddy debuting in her science class.

Mission 112 was serialized in two installments, with this 16-page second part arriving March 3, 2025, following Part 1's 15 pages on February 17, 2025. Both belong to Volume 16 and the Term Break Arc. The Part 2 cover assembles Freddy, Tertius, Arnold Crowley, Anya, and Connie.

Part 2's English edition corrected a Part 1 translation slip in which Tertius appeared to think of Jeeves; the Japanese "jiiya" actually referred to his own elderly steward.
