Summary

Exhausted from interrogating waves of extremist prisoners at SSS Headquarters, Yuri turns down his Boss's steak invitation, celebrating his recent clash with Twilight, because he has plans with Yor that evening. Chloe is stunned, but the Lieutenant guesses the "date" correctly. Meeting his sister, Yuri drags her to a department store determined to buy her a present, certain that life under Loid has drained the joy from her. Yor instead hunts for household items: fresh bedding for Anya, washroom towels, a toothbrush for Loid. Her single-minded focus on the Forgers pushes an irritated Yuri to hurry them toward dinner.

Over an expensive restaurant meal, Yor marvels at how mature her brother has become, then casually mentions getting carried away with Loid whenever she drinks, prompting Yuri to forbid alcohol on the spot. Convinced she has been brainwashed into servitude, he demands proof that she has a life of her own. Yor lists volleyball matches with Melinda and the Lady Patriots Society, outings with her city hall coworkers, and the joy of raising Anya, which echoes her memories of raising him. When Yuri frames her childhood sacrifices as lost happiness, Yor corrects him firmly: those years were hard but precious, and they fuel the effort she puts into everything now. She admits the loneliness that hit her when he first moved away, then explains it belongs to the past. Yuri's begging that she keep looking after him grows loud enough to get him ejected from the restaurant.

Walking afterward, Yuri floats the idea of the two of them returning to Nielsberg, but Yor gently declines, calling Berlint a wonderful home with work she cares about. He hands her the gift he secretly bought, sees her off, then buys an armful of spice cakes from a street stand, remembering when the siblings could afford only one. Alone in his apartment, eating and reminiscing, Yuri admits to himself how distant Yor feels and how many secrets he keeps from her. A phone call from the Lieutenant inviting him bar hopping with Chloe and the other officers breaks the gloom, and Yuri accepts with a smile.

Key Events

Yuri and Yor share their first extended one-on-one outing since her staged "abduction" by the Forger family. Yor articulates that her past loneliness is gone, crediting the people now surrounding her, which quietly dismantles Yuri's belief that marriage made her miserable. Yuri gifts Yor a bedspread for Anya, acknowledges his own persistent loneliness and hidden life, and takes a step toward his SSS colleagues by joining their night out. Falsa Chargis and Kahn Spirasist make their first appearances.

Notes

Yor swaps her usual stiletto-shaped earrings for a pair bearing the flower emblem that recurs on her outfits. The Japanese release names the dining spot "Otakai Restaurant," a romanization of the word for "expensive," and the English edition keeps the joke by calling it "Pricey Restaurant"; its street number, 114, matches the chapter. After publication, Tatsuya Endo joked on Twitter about forgetting to draw the bathroom door in Yuri's apartment, an error corrected in Volume 16 along with adjusted panels repositioning the telephone. The chapter opens the Poacher Hunting Arc, runs 23 pages, and released on March 31, 2025.
