Rikai Souzu is a soft-spoken half-human raised inside the Washuu Clan's secret nursery and groomed from childhood into a ghoul investigator. Once part of Kishou Arima's elite squad, he abandons the CCG to stand guard over Ken Kaneki.
Rikai carries the grave look of a teenager who has grown up too fast. Pale lavender hair falls to his chin in a blunt bob edged by straight bangs, and like the rest of his unit he is almost always seen in the squad's white coat.
Reserved to the point of near silence, Rikai rarely offers a word of his own. He gravitates toward familiar faces and is content to hang back while others carry the conversation for him.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

There are no women on Namek. That isn't an oversight, it's the biology. Why we handed Piccolo the one thing his own species rules out, and why it had to be trap soul....
A product of the Sunlit Garden, the hidden facility where the Washuu Clan raised its illegitimate half-human children, Rikai was drilled from an early age into a capable investigator and placed in Arima's personal Squad 0. He stands as the sole member of the Souzu line, one of the clan's branch families.
During the third raid on Cochlea his squad guarded the prison and came upon Kaneki standing over Arima's body. Rikai asked leave to mourn the man he idolized, and the unit gathered around their fallen leader before trailing Kaneki deeper into the facility. Along the way they crossed paths with a gravely wounded Eto Yoshimura and stepped into the brawl pitting Kiyoko Aura and Mougan Tanakamaru against Touka, Ayato, Renji Yomo, and Kazuichi Banjou's group. Afterward the young investigators defected outright, waking Kaneki, sharing a meal, and joining the meeting that gave rise to Goat.
To Rikai and his peers, Kaneki was Arima's rightful heir, and he warmed to the older man's near-parental kindness, down to the meals cooked for the squad. As a half-human he fought with heightened physical gifts and a talent for heavy quinque such as clubs and lances. The manga ultimately records him as killed, while the anime leaves him among the living.
