Ikkaku Falls! The Shinigami's Crisis

After Hisagi defeats Findorr Calius, the fourth pillar falls when Ikkaku loses to Poww. Yumichika tries to reach his friend but is stopped, and Izuru knocks Ayasegawa out cold. Bloodied but unbowed, Ikkaku struggles up and still refuses to reveal his hidden strength when Poww demands to see it, choosing pride over survival even as part of the true town begins reasserting itself.

Lieutenant Tetsuzaemon Iba and Captain Komamura arrive to save him. As Iba plants metal poles to halt the town's reversion, Poww punches Komamura and unleashes his Resurrección, swelling to enormous size. Komamura flips the giant onto its back, orders Iba never to retreat, and activates his own Bankai to block Poww's Cero, forcing a second blast to burst inside the Espada's mouth before delivering the finishing blow.

In the aftermath Iba reminds Ikkaku that mission success must come before personal ideals, so hiding his power is unacceptable. Komamura, feigning deafness, gently spares Ikkaku further embarrassment about his concealed Bankai. Far away, Baraggan Louisenbairn seethes over his fallen Fracción, crushing the skull ornament on his throne as he brands them useless.

Ikkaku is defeated by Poww and the fourth pillar is destroyed. Iba and Komamura arrive to rescue him. Poww releases his Resurrección, Calderón, and grows to giant size. Komamura activates his Bankai and kills Poww by forcing his Cero to explode internally. Iba rebukes Ikkaku for prioritizing his pride over the mission. Baraggan rages at the loss of his Fracción.

The episode adapts Chapter 326 through Chapter 328 and showcases Shunpo, Cero, Ikkaku's Shikai Hōzukimaru, Komamura's Bankai Kokujō Tengen Myō'ō, and Poww's Resurrección Calderón. Its Arrancar Encyclopedia segment has Gin crossing out Baraggan's four dead Fracción and wishing the surviving two, Ggio Vega and Nirgge Parduoc, luck. The opening theme is Shōjo S and the ending is Kimi wo Mamotte, Kimi wo Aishite.
