Not Negotiation

In the Dangai, Ulquiorra confronts Orihime and her two escorts, coldly dismissing their number as careless. When one guard recognizes him as an Arrancar and reaches for his blade, Ulquiorra fires a Bala that tears the man apart, then cripples the second the same way, forcing Orihime to stretch her Soten Kisshun over both to keep them alive. Impressed by the sight of her healing, he states his purpose without pretense: she is to come with him.

To crush any refusal, Ulquiorra opens a small Garganta showing Ichigo, Hitsugaya, and Rangiku and warns that any answer but yes will cost her friends their lives. He strips her of every right to question or bargain, framing the demand as an order carried on Aizen's behalf, since Aizen covets her power and wants her delivered unharmed. Meanwhile in Karakura, Urahara is caught between Wonderweiss and Yammy, whose Bala barrage buries him as Yammy explains that the technique swaps a Cero's raw force for twenty times the velocity.

Believing Urahara finished, Luppi returns his attention to the bound Rangiku, Ikkaku, and Yumichika, only to discover four of his tentacles frozen fast to the ground. Hitsugaya rises with Daiguren Hyorinmaru, his shattered ice reformed from the moisture around him, and turns Luppi's carelessness against him, ringing him in towering pillars before sealing him away with Sennen Hyoro. This chapter was adapted into episodes 139 and 140.
