Meowy's Whereabouts

Makima reprimands Power for slaughtering a civilian hunter's quarry and tells Denji to keep her in line. Power, who trusts only cats and loathes everyone else, reveals that a Devil stole her beloved Meowy. When she promises Denji a grope of her chest for helping retrieve the cat, he throws himself into the cause, vowing to slay the kidnapping Devil.

The two set out, but Power has lied. She knocks Denji unconscious and drags him to the Bat Devil as the human tribute it demanded. The Devil squeezes Denji for his blood, finds the taste foul, and gulps down Meowy before devouring Power as well. Watching, Power finally grasps the grief Denji feels over losing Pochita.

As the Bat Devil flies off hungry for children, Denji clings to its leg, drinking its blood and demanding his promised reward. He pulls his cord, frees himself in a burst of chainsaws, and battles the Devil through a building, shielding bystanders along the way. After deflecting a thrown car and a shockwave, Denji slices the Bat Devil apart and guts it.

Power tricks Denji and hands him to the Bat Devil, which swallows Meowy and then Power herself. Denji transforms, breaks free, and kills the Bat Devil. The episode also reveals Power's backstory with Meowy.

The third episode adapts chapters 5 through 8. Its ending theme is Hawatari Nioku Centi. The child the Muscle Devil once stalked turns up here with her father, saved by Denji amid his clash with the Bat Devil.
