Junko Kito

Passing for human, Junko looks like a pale, gray-skinned woman of middle age. Her purple hair falls to a medium length in a full, face-framing bob, and her eyes remain shut. She dresses in a brown undershirt beneath a maroon blazer, with a thin gold pendant at her throat and a gray skirt.

Junko shares the clan's fixation on its reputation. When Naki revealed that Jiji had been hiring spirit mediums, she rounded on him with the rest of the women, incensed at the shame he courted. Content to make herself at home, she nibbled snacks while the men carried out their ambush, every bit as devoted to the Tsuchinoko as her relatives.

Keeping the clan's tradition, Junko helped Naki Kito feed humans to the Tsuchinoko to quiet an appetite that might rouse the village volcano. During the Cursed House Arc she looked on as Jiji guided Momo and Okarun into the home, then made herself comfortable with the women while the men went after Momo at the springs. Once the family thrashed the boys for Jiji's lie, they turned on Momo and forced her into the hidden sacrificial chamber. When Okarun and Jiji came to and pushed Naki along with her boys into the pit while wrenching Momo free, Junko and the women hit them from behind, and the whole group spilled into the lair, where the Tsuchinoko devoured the family. Spat back up alive once the creature died, Junko and her kin were taken in for murder and abduction after the village was saved, while Naki stayed on the run.
