Juteimu Kito

Masked as a human, Juteimu is a pale, gray-skinned woman of middle age whose gray hair is kept tidy above her closed eyes. She pairs gray trousers with a white turtleneck tucked under a blue buttoned cardigan.

Juteimu echoes the other Kito women, anxious over the family's image and faithful to the Tsuchinoko. When Naki mentioned that Jiji had been hiring spirit mediums, she joined the furious chorus berating him for the shame it could bring. She likewise enjoyed the home's comforts, snacking away while the men went on the attack.

Honoring the clan's way, Juteimu joined Naki Kito in delivering humans to the Tsuchinoko to satisfy a hunger that threatened to wake the village volcano. Over the Cursed House Arc she watched Jiji usher Momo and Okarun into the house, settling in with the women while the men trailed Momo to the springs. When the family beat the boys for Jiji's lie, they fell on Momo and cast her into the hidden sacrificial room. After Okarun and Jiji revived and tipped Naki and the boys into the pit while pulling Momo clear, Juteimu and the women jumped them from behind, and the entire group plunged into the lair, where the Tsuchinoko ate the family. Brought back up alive once the worm perished, Juteimu and her relatives were arrested for murder and abduction after the village was spared, while Naki alone avoided capture.
