Spider Demon (Daughter)

Daughter looks like a slight girl in her early teens, sharing the spider-like traits of her adopted family. She has snowy white skin and a small, sharp face dotted with red marks, plus white eyes with silvery eyeballs framed by pale teal lashes. Her long white hair is tied into two loose tails with beaded ribbons. Before Rui forced her to alter her features, her true demon form had black hair, slit cat-like eyes, and grayish skin.

Daughter is the most careful of the so-called family, preferring to watch from a distance rather than charge into battle, and she is deeply cowardly in combat and in the group's internal conflicts. In truth she despises her relatives and believes she would have fared better alone, viewing the others as fools for indulging Rui. Aware that defying him is fatal, she works hard to stay in his favor, even betraying another sister who offered her a chance to escape. She also tries to win Shinobu's sympathy by claiming she was coerced, though her record of eager killing exposes the lie.

Originally a lone demon on Mount Natagumo, Daughter was cornered by slayers until Rui, Lower Five of the Twelve Kizuki, offered to make her part of his family. Accepting, she drank blood that reshaped her body, and Rui tore off her face to make her resemble him. She came to understand his idea of family was built on cruelty, but chose obedience over escape.

During the Mount Natagumo arc, Rui slices her apart in a fit of anger after her features revert, then orders her to hunt the remaining slayers. She traps Murata in an acidic cocoon but is interrupted by Shinobu Kocho. After lying about how many people she has killed, she is struck by Shinobu's Insect Breathing, and her regeneration is overwhelmed by the wisteria poison, killing her.
