Cui tracks Vegeta down and threatens to kill him on Frieza's orders, while Krillin and Gohan face two of Frieza's scouts who destroy their spaceship. Forced to fight, the pair unleash their suppressed power and dispatch the scouts with ease. Vegeta then reveals to Cui that he has learned to control his battle power, a skill that will change the game entirely.
Cui locks onto Vegeta's location with his scouter and flies toward him, announcing that Frieza has authorized his execution. Vegeta stands on a cliff, unfazed, and taunts Cui, telling him to hurry up. Cui insists the scouter data proves he holds the advantage, but Vegeta simply smirks.
At the landing site, Bulma prepares to leave while Krillin and Gohan plan their next move. Bulma warns that Frieza might destroy the Eternal Dragon after his wish, as King Piccolo once killed Shenron. Gohan then senses someone approaching. Two armored scouts appear, and upon spotting the Earthlings, they follow standing orders to eliminate everyone on the planet. Krillin notes their armor resembles the Saiyans' but the scouts are a different species entirely. The scouts float upward and mock the group's low power readings. One fires an arm-mounted beam straight through the ship, destroying it.
Krillin tells Gohan to release his suppressed ki. They begin powering up and the scouts' scouters spike wildly. Krillin and Gohan vanish, reappear in midair, and strike simultaneously. Gohan drives a fist into one scout's face while Krillin kicks the other. Both soldiers go flying into the ocean. Zarbon reports the incident to Frieza: two fighters with initially low readings suddenly spiked to about 1,500 each and defeated the reconnaissance team before vanishing again. Frieza orders them wiped out next time. Bulma weeps over the wrecked ship while Krillin urges the group to relocate. On the cliffs, Vegeta and Cui face off. Cui boasts that their rivalry ends here, but Vegeta reveals his new edge: battle power control.
