Dragon Ball Daima is a 20-episode anime series created under Akira Toriyama's direction as one of his final contributions to the franchise. It aired on Fuji TV from October 11, 2024 to February 28, 2025. The premise shrinks Goku, Vegeta, and much of the cast into child-sized bodies and sends them through a new Demon Realm, pairing the adventure tone of the original Dragon Ball with modern production values.
In the Demon Realm, the newly crowned King Gomah discovers the Earth's Dragon Balls and hatches a scheme to neutralize Goku and his allies. Traveling to Earth with his cohorts, Gomah uses Shenron to transform all of Buu's former opponents into children.
After learning Shenron grants only one wish to first-time users, Gomah abandons his second goal and kidnaps Dende before retreating to the Demon Realm. Goku reclaims his Power Pole and sets off with Shin and a mysterious demon named Glorio.
Goku, Shin, and Glorio pass through the Sir Warp transit system and arrive in the Third Demon World for the first time. They explore a land of heavy air and hostile locals, eventually finding their plane stolen overnight after a rowdy evening at a bar.
Forced to travel on foot, Goku's group battles flying beasts and giant demons while picking up unique Demon Realm supplies from a tea shop. After encountering the oppressive Gendarmerie in a nearby town, Goku rescues a masked rebel and becomes a fugitive.
The masked rebel turns out to be Panzy, the princess of the Third Demon World and daughter of King Kadan. At Kadan Castle, Goku proves his strength to the skeptical king, who provides the group with a plane and sends an envoy to guide Vegeta's party.
The crash landing turns out to be minor, but the heavy cargo must be reduced before liftoff. During a layover, Goku and Glorio engage in a sparring match that reveals the mercenary's lightning-based abilities, though Goku's Super Saiyan form proves superior.
Bulma discovers Shin's ship needs a rare Demon Realm mineral, but Hybis arrives just in time to ferry the second group. Meanwhile, Goku's party dodges the Gendarmerie again and Shin removes Panzy's tracking collar before they reach the Third Demon World's Tamagami.
Goku challenges Tamagami Number Three and pushes through to Super Saiyan 2 to claim victory. Meanwhile, Dr. Arinsu visits the witch Marba to create a new creature using a fragment of Majin Buu, revealing her ambition to overthrow Gomah and rule the Demon Realm.
Two demon bandits steal the Dragon Ball at a hotel, but Goku and Glorio track them down and recover it quickly. The groups finally rendezvous in the Third Demon World, while Dr. Arinsu's new creation, the formidable Majin Duu, takes its first breath.
Majin Kuu challenges Tamagami Number One but is soundly defeated. Goku's expanded group enters the Second Demon World, battles Gendarmerie forces and a Kraken, and takes refuge on the abandoned Demon Realm Namek where Shin reveals the origin of the Kais.
The legendary Namekian Neva joins Goku's party after revealing he is needed to speak the wish in Namekian. Vegeta challenges Tamagami Number Two in the Second Demon World while Dr. Arinsu creates an even stronger warrior, Majin Duu, from Buu's essence.
Vegeta achieves Super Saiyan 3 for the first time and conquers Tamagami Number Two, while Majin Duu defeats Tamagami Number One in the First Demon World. With two Dragon Balls secured by the heroes and one by Arinsu's forces, the final leg of the quest begins.
Gomah orders the Sir Warp disabled to block the heroes' advance. A crash landing strands the group on Planet Mega, a world where everything is enormous, forcing them to survive encounters with giant hamsters, a colossal dog, and a Megath child.
Goku's party reaches the Sir Warp only to find it shut down on Gomah's orders. Neva dispels his own ancient barrier around the Demon Realm Tunnel, revealing that he sealed the passage long ago to protect the Second Demon World from invaders. Meanwhile, Gomah assembles the flamboyant Gendarmerie Force to defend the palace.
Gomah orders a full assault on the newly arrived heroes. Goku, Vegeta, and Piccolo battle waves of Gendarmerie soldiers across the First Demon World while the dark history of the Evil Third Eye is revealed. Hybis unknowingly trades the artifact away, and King Kadan arrives with reinforcements just in time to turn the tide.
With the Gendarmerie military defeated, Goku's team storms the Demon King's Palace to rescue Dende. Vegeta single-handedly dismantles the elite Gendarmerie Force while Degesu's secret ambitions are exposed. The final Tamagami's Dragon Ball is already gone, and Gomah gets his hands on the Evil Third Eye.
Dr. Arinsu proposes a one-on-one duel for ownership of all three Demon Realm Dragon Balls. Goku faces Majin Duu in an intense battle, but their fight is interrupted when Gomah emerges from the palace with the Evil Third Eye. Armed with devastating new power, Gomah overwhelms every fighter who challenges him until Goku reaches Super Saiyan 3.
Super Saiyan 3 Goku finally deals real damage to Gomah, and Majin Duu copies the form through mimicry to press the advantage even further. When those efforts fall short, Neva draws out Goku's dormant potential, unlocking Super Saiyan 4 for the first time. But Gomah's Third Eye pushes him into a colossal giant state, and Dr. Arinsu sets a plan in motion involving the Demon Realm Dragon.
Glorio's wish restores everyone to their adult bodies, and Vegeta wastes no time claiming the next fight against Gomah. While Super Saiyan 3 Vegeta dominates the battered Demon King, Dr. Arinsu discovers the Evil Third Eye's critical weakness. After Bulma delivers an ultimatum that terrifies Vegeta more than any enemy, Goku steps in and reveals adult Super Saiyan 4.
Adult Super Saiyan 4 Goku faces Gomah in a climactic final battle. His Transcendent Power Kamehameha blasts a hole through both Demon Worlds, but the Third Eye keeps restoring Gomah. In the end, an unlikely hero dislodges the artifact, and the Demon Realm crowns a surprising new Supreme Demon King before the group heads home with one last shocking discovery.
