Vegeta demonstrates his newfound ability to control and raise his battle power at will, causing both Cui's and Zarbon's scouters to explode from the spike. Outmatched and desperate, Cui tries every trick he can think of, but Vegeta obliterates him with a single devastating attack. Frieza's forces press onward toward the remaining Dragon Balls.
Vegeta reveals his ability to suppress and amplify his battle power at will, a technique he picked up during the fight on Earth. He surges his energy upward, and the reading on Cui's scouter climbs so fast that the device explodes on his face. At the same moment, Zarbon's scouter detonates as well, miles away. Frieza, observing from his hover pod, notes that the spike is hardly surprising given that Vegeta has spent his career on the front lines of combat. Unlike the soldiers who stay comfortable at base, Vegeta's constant exposure to battle has pushed his strength to new heights.
Realizing he is hopelessly outclassed, Cui abandons all bravado and begs for his life. He proposes an alliance, suggesting that together they could challenge Frieza. Vegeta sees through the ploy and refuses. Cornered, Cui resorts to deception. He begins charging a ki blast behind his back and suddenly shouts that Frieza is approaching from behind. Vegeta instinctively turns, and Cui fires. The blasts streak toward Vegeta, but he dodges them effortlessly without breaking a sweat. Panicked, Cui turns and flees into the sky at full speed.
Vegeta watches Cui retreat for only a moment before raising one hand. He fires his Dirty Fireworks technique, and the blast catches Cui in midair. The explosion tears through the sky, destroying Cui completely. From across the planet, Frieza registers the event but dismisses it as insignificant. He and his remaining soldiers continue their search for the fifth Namekian Dragon Ball. Meanwhile, Bulma, Krillin, and Gohan have found a cave to take shelter in. Just as they begin to settle, Krillin senses Frieza's forces approaching their area. He urges everyone to press against the cave walls and stay completely hidden.
