Buu turns Dabura into a cookie and eats him, which breaks the petrification spell on Krillin and Piccolo. The boys learn Piccolo can regenerate even from being shattered. Vegeta destroys Babidi's ship and arrives on the battlefield, furious over Gohan's apparent death, and launches a devastating opening assault on Majin Buu.
Vegeta stands over the hatch of Babidi's underground ship, calculating that destroying it will help him locate Buu quickly. He senses Gohan's energy has vanished and blames himself. At the battlefield, Buu taunts Dabura, dancing around him. Before Dabura can counterattack, Buu fires a magical beam and transforms the Demon King into a massive cookie shaped exactly like himself. Buu devours it whole. Trunks and Goten watch in horror.
With Dabura consumed, the petrification curse breaks. Krillin reverts from stone, confused about his surroundings. Goten connects the dots: the horned creature who spat on Krillin is the one Buu just ate. Trunks remembers Piccolo was shattered while still stone. He rushes back and finds pieces of green flesh scattered on the ground. Then Piccolo speaks from behind him, fully intact. The Namekian explains he can regenerate as long as his head remains undamaged. He senses Buu's terrifying energy and confirms the monster is real.
Babidi commands Buu to eat Supreme Kai next. Piccolo is horrified to see the deity broken on the ground. Krillin urges calm, insisting no one present can challenge Buu. As Buu deliberates what food to turn Supreme Kai into, an explosion erupts in the distance. Vegeta has detonated Babidi's ship and emerges from the smoke. Trunks cheers, but Babidi is enraged.
Vegeta confirms this strange creature is Majin Buu. Still seething over Gohan, he declares he will not go to the afterlife alone. He powers up, charges, and before Buu can react, drives a devastating kick followed by a crushing punch that sends the monster flying.
