Vegerot's Game

Manga ChapterCh. 500

Vegito demolishes every technique Buu throws at him, from the Super Ghost Kamikaze Attack to hand-to-hand combat. After Buu transforms Vegito into a candy ball, the fused warrior retains his full power and pummels Buu as a tiny projectile. Once restored to normal, Vegito counts down from ten, deliberately goading Buu into attempting absorption, and the Majin takes the bait.

Borrowed Techniques Fall Short

Buu trembles with disbelief at the gap in their power. His body shakes before he spits out a swarm of ghostly duplicates bearing his own face, unleashing Gotenks' Super Ghost Kamikaze Attack. Vegito vanishes, reappears to the side, and picks off every ghost with precise blasts. Taunting Buu that a technique invented by a child is no threat, Vegito dares him to get serious. Buu charges in fury, screaming that fusion is unfair. Vegito notes the hypocrisy, since Buu absorbed multiple fighters, and blocks all of Buu's strikes using only his feet.

The Strongest Candy in the Universe

Dende flies through the sky carrying Mr. Satan and hears the distant battle. Back at the fight, Vegito kicks Buu in the face. Buu smirks through the pain and fires his Candy Beam, transforming Vegito into a small round candy. He holds the candy triumphantly and cackles. Kibito Kai is horrified, and Old Kai curses the pair for letting arrogance cost them everything. But Buu's own fist suddenly punches him in the face. The candy hovers in mid-air, speaking. Vegito declares his strength is unchanged and announces himself the strongest candy in the universe. The tiny sphere rockets into Buu's stomach, ricochets off his face, and batters him from every angle. Vegito even punches through Buu's mouth and out his head, slicing away more forelock. Buu concedes and reverses the beam.

The Countdown

The Supreme Kais beg Vegito to stop playing. Vegito begins counting to ten. Internally, he hopes Buu will notice the severed forelock nearby and try to use it. At five, Buu remembers the detached piece and stretches it into a living blob. By nine, Vegito confirms his plan is working; he cut that forelock on purpose. At ten, the blob surges toward Vegito, who raises a barrier. Buu reabsorbs the blob and celebrates, believing he has absorbed the ultimate fighter.
