The Galactic Patrolman's Enforcement

Manga ChapterCh. 6

While Omori shops for milk and cheese, Jaco cannot resist intervening when he spots a group of bandits harassing a young woman on the streets of East City. After dispatching the thugs with ease, Jaco mistakes arriving police officers for accomplices and knocks them out too, turning himself and Omori into fugitives. The mysterious girl they rescued leads them to a hiding spot on a rooftop.

Instincts Take Over

Omori enters a supermarket to purchase milk and cheese for Jaco, leaving the alien outside with strict instructions to stay put and keep a low profile. Jaco complies at first, but his attention is drawn to a nearby commotion. A group of bandits surround a young woman, demanding money. When one of them strikes her, Jaco's instincts as a Galactic Patrolman override any pretense of discretion.

A Swift Intervention

Before engaging the bandits, Jaco pauses to confirm that the person being attacked is indeed a woman, which she affirms. Satisfied, he strips off his disguise and prepares to fight. The bandits charge him, but Jaco demonstrates remarkable combat skills, knocking each of them unconscious in rapid succession. He finishes with his signature victory pose, leaving the young woman unharmed and free. Meanwhile, Omori exits the supermarket with Jaco's cheese and milk, only to discover that his companion has vanished from the spot where he was supposed to be waiting.

A Case of Mistaken Identity

Police officers arrive at the scene shortly after Jaco finishes with the bandits. Jaco, unfamiliar with Earth's law enforcement structure, assumes the uniformed men are associates of the criminals and attacks them as well, knocking out two officers before Omori finally catches up. Finding the policemen sprawled on the pavement, Omori immediately grasps the severity of the situation and grabs Jaco by the arm, urging him to run. Behind them, the downed officers radio for backup.

An Unexpected Guide

Ducking into an alleyway, Omori explains to Jaco that those men were Earth's police, not criminals, and their predicament has gotten significantly worse. Just then, the young woman Jaco rescued earlier appears beside them. Rather than fleeing or reporting them, she tells the two fugitives to follow her, offering a way out of the tightening police search. With few options remaining, Omori and Jaco accept her help.
