The young woman who rescued Jaco and Omori introduces herself as Tights, an aspiring science fiction novelist. After deducing that Jaco is an alien, she bargains her silence for passage to Omori's island. The trio returns together, only to see Jaco's exploits broadcast on the evening news under the unflattering alias "Mask Man."
The young woman leads Omori and Jaco up several flights of stairs toward a rooftop, hoping to evade the police below. When Omori's age slows him on the climb, Jaco carries him on his back. On the roof, the girl thanks them for the rescue. Omori scolds Jaco for attacking the police on top of the bandits, making their situation far worse.
The girl finds Jaco's speech patterns unusual. Omori claims Jaco is a foreigner who struggles with the language, and Jaco plays along by greeting her in French. She remains unconvinced, noting that his face moves naturally, so it cannot be a mask. Connecting his superhuman agility and alien features, she declares Jaco must be an extraterrestrial. Omori tries to deny it, but she stands firm: no human moves that way.
She introduces herself as Tights. Now exposed, Jaco proudly reveals his full title as a Galactic Patrolman, striking an elaborate pose on the railing. This catches the attention of officers below, forcing Jaco to activate his emergency jet boots and grab both companions as they launch off the building moments before police storm the roof. At the port, Jaco explains the jet boots can only fire once. Omori insists they leave immediately and asks Tights to keep the secret. She agrees, on the condition she can come to the island.
At Omori's house, the trio eats dinner and watches television. The evening news reports a short, masked assailant who attacked both bandits and police. Witnesses estimate the suspect at four feet nine inches, and because they believe his face is a disguise, officers dub him "Mask Man." Jaco is furious about both the nickname and the inaccurate height measurement and retreats outside to sulk.
