Manga ChapterCh. 10

Katayude's special police squad arrives to arrest the "Mask Man," but Jaco reveals himself on his own terms, refusing any name other than "Super Elite." Confrontation on the Dock

Katayude and his four-man squad step onto Omori's island and are greeted by the scientist, who feigns ignorance about any "Mask Man." Jaco, offended by the nickname even from a distance, calls out from hiding and demands to be addressed as "Super Elite." Katayude agrees on the condition Jaco show himself. The patrolman leaps out, lands with a dramatic pose, and startles the entire squad. He issues a backhanded apology for the earlier police incident and demands his sketch be properly redrawn to better reflect his actual appearance.

The Twinkle 8 Falls

In the distance, the Twinkle 8 lifts off from Kiwi Island, drawing everyone's attention. Katayude refocuses and declares his intent to arrest Jaco, but the patrolman is staring at the rocket in alarm. Something is wrong. Jaco shouts that the ship is falling. The first stage has detached and Tights has roughly two minutes before impact. Jaco sprints to his spaceship at supersonic speed, but when Omori tries to board, Katayude fires a warning shot, convinced the story is an escape ploy.

The Time Machine Gambit

Omori pleads that a friend's life is at stake, but the squad refuses to believe him. Jaco leaps from the ship and dispatches all five officers in seconds. With precious time lost, he asks Omori about the unfinished time machine. Omori confirms it can freeze time for roughly fifty seconds. They race to the device and power it up. One of Katayude's men radios from their own vessel to confirm the rocket's second engine has failed and it is heading toward East City. Omori activates the machine. Time stops. They climb into Jaco's spaceship and blast off toward the falling rocket.
