Barry Watson was instrumental in producing Funimation's original English dub of Dragon Ball, handling both production duties and voice work. He appeared in numerous episodes as various minor characters, from referees and civilians to animals like Scratch, the cat. Watson also contributed to Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Z Kai as both producer and voice performer, while voicing Scratch and the Capsule Corporation Explorer.
As a producer and ADR director at Funimation, Watson worked on countless anime properties beyond Dragon Ball, including Full Metal Alchemist, Fruits Basket, and numerous others. He founded a studio and maintained an active career in voice direction and production for anime dubs throughout the early 2000s.
