Toku Nishio provided the Japanese voice for Mr. Popo, the mysterious guardian and assistant at Kami's Lookout, across three major Dragon Ball series spanning the franchise's classical era. Born September 12, 1939 in Gifu Prefecture, Nishio worked as both an actor and voice actor throughout his career. He was represented by Tokyo Actor's Consumers Cooperative Society and maintained his professional voice acting work until his death on July 19, 2005, establishing himself as a foundational figure in Dragon Ball's original Japanese voice cast.
