Frog-Face's Race

Race

Frog-Face's Race is an unnamed alien species that has served in the Frieza Force across multiple generations. Named after their most recognized member, these humanoid aliens possess cobra-like or dilophosaurus-shaped heads atop otherwise human-proportioned bodies. They are among the oldest known species in Frieza's galactic army.

Cobra Heads in Battle Armor

Members of Frog-Face's Race are humanoid aliens whose most distinctive feature is their head shape, which resembles a cobra snake or dilophosaurus with a flared, hood-like cranial structure. Their bodies are otherwise proportioned similarly to Earthlings, standing at roughly average human height. Some members display beak-like facial features, while others have simpler, more streamlined face structures, suggesting significant variation within the species.

Like most alien soldiers in the Frieza Force, they wear standardized battle armor and serve in various capacities from rank-and-file troops to command positions. Their physical capabilities are modest by Dragon Ball standards, placing them firmly in the category of soldiers who rely on numbers and equipment rather than raw individual power.

From Chilled to Sorbet

This species has one of the longest documented histories of service in the Frieza Force, stretching back to the era of Frieza's ancestor Chilled. Two soldiers of this race served under Chilled on Planet Plant, making them one of the oldest known member species of the galactic army alongside Appule's race and Sui's race. Chilled himself killed one of these soldiers with a Ruthless Blow for simply standing in his way, demonstrating the casual cruelty the Cold Dynasty showed toward their own troops.

The race's namesake, Frog-Face, served Frieza directly during the Namek Saga and died in combat at Moori's village. Another member, Goose, attempted to try out for the Ginyu Force while Captain Ginyu waited for his team to deal with Vegeta. A third unnamed member was actually selected by Ginyu as a potential recruit and tasked with hiding the Namekian Dragon Balls outside Frieza's ship. During the Resurrection F events, members of this race could be seen among the thousand soldiers who accompanied Frieza to Earth for his revenge.

Surviving the Empire

In Dragon Ball Online, members of this race continued to serve in the Frieza Force remnants long after Frieza's death. Rigll and Captain Wata led the Guard Troops and spearheaded the invasion of Earth in Age 820 after Mr. Satan's death, mistakenly believing Satan was the one who had defeated Frieza. Though initially repelled by the surviving Z Fighters, the Frieza Force remnants maintained a presence on Earth for centuries, with Captain Wata eventually forming an alliance with the Red Pants Army and Time Breakers before being defeated by the Time Patrol.

This species' enduring presence across the Frieza Force's entire history, from Chilled's era to the remnant forces of Age 1000, makes them one of the most consistently represented alien races in the organization. While individually they pose little threat to any trained fighter, their long institutional memory and loyalty to the Cold Dynasty's mission of galactic conquest kept the Frieza Force functioning long after its leadership was destroyed.
