Isari Funato is the eldest son of the pirate warlord Araumi and the pride of the Funato Clan, a composed tactician who fights with a living marlin-bone harpoon. His path through the sea war with Kirigakure pits loyalty against the mounting cost of vengeance.
Straight blond hair reaches his shoulders above silver eyes and tanned skin, and he cuts a fairly tall figure. His most striking feature is a trio of gill-like marks running down each side of his neck. He wears white robes over a blue shirt, with grey trousers and black gloves.
Isari had no love for calm seas, preferring rough, violent waves as the truest expression of water. Level-headed and watchful, he thought several steps ahead and weighed how best to meet each situation as it shifted, favouring patience and careful handling over haste. In a fight a colder streak surfaced, and he treated his enemies like prey to be hooked. His family came first in everything, and threats to them broke his usual composure. Yet he was more reasoning than his kin: where they craved supremacy, he was willing to bargain for peace, placing the clan's survival above revenge once the toll grew too high, even opening secret talks to that end.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

Naruto built the transformation jutsu himself, and the Hidden Leaf has been quietly not talking about it ever since. The story behind our 90s R&B record about the Naruko question everybody dodges....
When his father Araumi brought home a boy named Tenma to adopt, Isari welcomed him warmly, and the two trained hard together under their father's eye while teasing their younger brother Ikada for lacking any knack for the Funato power. That view changed when Ikada's rite of passage awakened his gift, raising a wave that saved him from drowning. Isari was later entrusted with the sentient marlin-bone harpoon. After Araumi was captured by Kirigakure, Isari opposed Ikada's wish to leave the clan until Seiren persuaded him to let his brother go.
A capable warrior counted as the clan's pride, Isari once dueled the swordsman Kagura Karatachi to a stalemate, wielded raw strength enough to snap rope bindings, and used Water Release without any water at hand to raise prisons and crushing waves. In the Great Sea Battle of Kirigakure, he sailed in by night, freed his imprisoned father amid the chaos of a crashed airship, and clashed there with Kagura and Boruto Uzumaki, whose spirit his living spear took a liking to. The clan seized several islands in the confusion, but news soon arrived that Tenma had died charging the Mizukage after their Chakra Cannon was destroyed.
Araumi blamed Isari for the setback and Seiren's grave wounds, stripping him of command. Convinced his father was too consumed by hatred to reason, Isari argued for retreat, was branded a coward, and quietly asked Jibiki to arrange peace talks with Kirigakure. At the Mizukage's office he made clear he sought coexistence rather than conquest and opposed Araumi's ambition, claiming the backing of many who no longer wished to follow his father. The negotiations were cut short by Araumi's broadcast declaring an all-out attack; on his father's command the marlin harpoon turned on its own wielder and ran him through, and Isari died lamenting that he had only wanted to protect his clan.
