Her dark hair falls long and is usually swept back to sit behind her ears, framing pale eyes lined by heavy lashes. Wine-colored lipstick and a poised, statuesque bearing complete the picture of a fit, fair-skinned woman.

For her showdown against Kars she favors a signature ensemble: a strapless dark dress cut short at the skirt, sheer black hosiery, heeled shoes, hoop earrings, and the long scarf she channels the Ripple through. Aviator shades occasionally round out the look.

Composed and fearless, Lisa Lisa confronts the Pillar Men without flinching and carries genuine pride in her own combat skill, once telling Joseph she needs no help from a boy barely out of his teens. Her nerve lets her bluff Kars into standing down when vampires surround her, never letting a flicker of fear show.

As the instructor behind Joseph and Caesar, she drives her students through punishing, seemingly lethal drills and has little patience for Joseph's clowning. Leading the Ripple users, she insists that personal feelings stay beneath the mission of ending the Pillar Men. That discipline cracks after Caesar dies: she first plays cold, ordering Joseph back to the fight, then dissolves into tears once he points out her grief. Away from battle she carries herself as a graceful, ordinary woman, and she eventually rebuilds a quiet life, remarrying and settling in America.

She begins life as Elizabeth, a newborn aboard the ship Dio Brando assaults at the close of Phantom Blood. Her mother dies shielding her from a zombie, and Jonathan Joestar rescues the infant, passing her to Erina Pendleton before his final clash with Dio. The two of them survive the vessel's destruction. Afterward the Ripple user Straizo raises Elizabeth and teaches her his art into adulthood, entrusting her with the Red Stone of Aja.

Grown, she weds George Joestar II and gives birth to Joseph. When a zombie officer who once served Dio murders George, she avenges him and reduces the killer to ash, then lets the Speedwagon Foundation scrub every trace of her identity to dodge the fallout. She resurfaces years later under the alias Lisa Lisa, a mysterious mentor Joseph meets in Venice, and takes charge of his Ripple education with harsh methods, from a breathing mask to a smack on the head with an oar.

Her Ripple runs at least three times stronger than Joseph's, and she fights chiefly with the Snake Muffler, a scarf woven from Satiporoja beetle yarn that conducts the Ripple perfectly, letting her balance upside down or sense unseen attacks. She topples Wired Beck, guards the Red Stone even after Esidisi snatches it during her bath, and is unmasked as Joseph's long-lost mother despite her youthful face. A brutal duel with Kars leaves her stabbed and gravely hurt, yet she pulls through. In 1948 she marries a Hollywood screenwriter, closing the chapter on her days as a warrior.
